THE PURSUIT OF PURPOSE

Here is where the rubber hits the road and disciple making begins. It is the consistent investment in the life of the one whom you are discipling a relationship that you will find extremely fulfilling.

Your regular discipleship times together will consist of guiding the one you are discipling through God’s Word, and you will use an approach we refer to as “threading,” which is explained below.

Your regular discipleship meetings will consist of taking the one you are discipling through The Gospel of John and Threads.

THE GOSPEL OF JOHN

Each of the gospels was written with a particular audience in mind. The Gospel of Matthew was written to the Jewish world, Mark to the Greek world, Luke to the gentile, non-Jewish world, and John to the whole world. We have chosen to start with John’s Gospel.

The goal is not to get the one you are discipling through The Gospel of John in a set amount of time, but rather to ensure that you are getting John’s gospel into their hearts focusing on key points along the way highlighting the essential subjects in grounding new and older Christians in their faith as they pursue Christ in every area of their lives.

As previously mentioned, our approach in discipleship is threading.

THREADS

In addition to your study of John’s Gospel, we will also create other individual studies, known as Threads. An example of such studies would be as follows:

  • The Progression of Temptation, Sin & the Way of Escape

  • Worry, Anxiousness & Stress

  • Recovering from Bad Decisions

  • Facing Loss and Moving Forward
