THE BIRTH OF PURPOSE
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
—Paul | Letter to Christians in Corinth
In this part of your training, you will learn about and get to know us, and we will learn about and get to know you. You will become part of our online Disciple Making Community and participate in two introductory workshops: Discipleship and The Gospel. You will present these same workshops to those whom you are discipling.
1. Orientation
We begin with a one-hour orientation to get to know you, hear your testimony, outline the training process, and address any questions you may have. As a follow-up, you will be required to submit a written testimony.
2. Learning Community
We have created a Disciple Making Community page in Thinkific, our online training platform. It’s a great forum to stay in touch with other disciple-makers, share prayer requests, and stay informed about any ministry updates.
3. Babies on Doorsteps
Babies on Doorsteps is our founder and director’s journey through his first 14 years as a Christian, as he navigated various winds of doctrine and sought to make sense of his newfound faith. This journey has shaped his passion for discipleship grounded in God’s word.
4. Tender Mercies Email
Numerous verses in the Bible are essential for the growth of healthy Christians. These verses will arrive in your inbox every Monday through Friday. You will find them to be encouraging to your daily walk with Christ and imperative to the spiritual growth of the one whom you are discipling.
5. Workshop | Discipleship
In this workshop, you will take the first step toward becoming a successful disciple-maker by understanding the biblical call to discipleship, its importance, and what effective discipleship entails.
6. Workshop | The Gospel
The importance of the gospel, the joyful message from God that leads a person to salvation, cannot be overemphasized. In this workshop, you will gain a clear understanding of the significance of the gospel, including what it is, how to effectively communicate it, and where and how it is first mentioned in the sacred writings of Scripture.
